About Lorane

My name is Lorane Bailon and I believe that K-12 education is foundational for our future generation’s to be engaged, culturally empowered, and academically competitive. As a lifelong member of this community, I am committed to ensuring that the district adheres to its values and needs. I myself am a product of Rio School District; I attended Rio Plaza and Rio Del Valle. I went on to Rio Mesa High School and then graduated from CSUN with a degree in Biology and earned a Juris Doctorate from Southern California Institute of Law. I am intimately aware of the experiences our student body faces. I currently serve on the El Rio Municipal Advisory Committee for the Board Of Supervisors appointed by John Zaragoza. While my daughter attended RMHS, I served on the School Site Council and as Band Booster President. I am dedicated to advocating for our children to be engaged and empowered to learn and succeed. This belief and passion is why I am excited to serve as Rio School Board of Trustee in hopes to advocate and fight for our community, teachers, parents and students.
